Meet Catherine
I’m a professional cellist and music teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. I trained at leading music institutions in the UK and Europe and have taught students from complete beginner level through to Grade 8 and beyond.
My lessons combine strong technical foundations with an encouraging, individual approach, helping students develop confidence, musical understanding and a genuine enjoyment of playing.

Exams & Progress
Students are encouraged to develop strong technique, musicianship and confidence at their own pace. For those working towards graded exams, I offer structured preparation for ABRSM and Trinity, including scales, sight-reading, aural skills and performance technique.
I teach students from beginner level through to Grade 8 and beyond, while ensuring that exam preparation remains part of a broader musical education rather than the sole focus of lessons.
